Runes/Talismans

The enigmatic nature of runes is undeniable. As symbols, they don't mean much (if anything) to the untrained eye, but they nevertheless seem to suggest some sort of ancient mystical meaning. Many of these symbols have been found in European caves and rock carvings, some dating back 12,000 years.
As ancient societies evolved, people began to use these symbols for various types of inscriptions. Runic inscriptions on weapons and jewelry transformed these objects into talismans.
(L.Chamberlain, 2018)

These sacred symbols are used today as a tool of divination, or even as a talisman. The runic alphabets are known as futhark and the best known is the Elder Futhark .

Each rune contains three aspects:

A sound (in some traditions each rune is also a song)

A geometric shape

A mystical meaning, an energy.

Each rune radiates a specific power and can be used for a variety of purposes. They are considered especially beneficial for "protective magic" when worn intentionally as a talisman, much like you would wear a specific stone for its properties.

There are 24 runes in the Elder Futhark . Some are very powerful and beneficial and I have selected those that I consider important to carry in everyday life.
